This document covers the E4SP Click-to-Call extension. For the processing of data by the Enreach services themselves (telephony, accounts, billing), see the Enreach privacy policy: https://www.enreach.com/en/privacy-policy
In short
E4SP Click-to-Call detects phone numbers on the web pages you visit and lets you call them through your Web Phone — or send a text selection to it (a name, a badly formatted number…) to run a search there. The extension neither collects nor transmits any personal data to Enreach or to any third party. The only content it transmits (the number to dial, the selected text) is sent only to your own Web Phone, the tool you opened and configured yourself — never to Enreach or to a third party — and it may be kept briefly and locally in your browser for the time of that send (details below). The rest of the processing happens locally, in your browser.
Data processed and purposes
- Web page content — analysed locally in your browser, solely to detect phone numbers and add a call button to them. This content is never sent to a server.
- Phone numbers — when you click to call, the number is transmitted only to your Web Phone tab (which you opened and configured yourself), in order to start the call. It passes through no extension server. If you call with the desktop app, the number is passed to it locally.
- Selected text — selecting text on a page (then clicking the badge shown or using the Alt+P
shortcut) sends it, the same way, only to your Web Phone tab: if it is a number, to
call it; otherwise (a name, for example), to run a search on its keypad — never triggering a call
in that second case. Here too, nothing passes through an extension server. If the Web Phone tab is
not yet ready at the moment of the selection, this text is kept temporarily (at most ~45
seconds) in your browser's local storage (
storage.local), the time to replay the action as soon as the tab becomes available, then it is erased. - Preferences — your settings (enabled domains, default country, display options) are stored
locally (
storage.local) and are never synced or transmitted.
What the extension does not do
- No collection of your browsing history; no data sent to Enreach or to third parties.
- No cookies, no trackers, no analytics.
- No remotely executed code: all code is bundled in the extension and reviewed by the stores.
Permissions and justification
- Access to the content of all sites (
host_permissions: <all_urls>) — required to detect numbers on the pages you visit; this is the core of the feature. - Tabs (
tabs) — to locate your Web Phone tab and route the call to it. - Scripts (
scripting) — to inject number detection into the page on demand. - Storage (
storage) — to keep your preferences locally. - Favicon (Chrome only) — to show your Web Phone's icon on the call button.
Retention
Preferences stay in your browser until you delete them or uninstall the extension. The number or selected text awaiting a send to the Web Phone (see above) is kept, locally, only for the time of the relay — a few seconds, at most ~45 seconds — then it is erased. No data is kept anywhere else, and nothing is ever transmitted to an extension server.
Your rights
Since no personal data is collected by the publisher, there is no server-side data to access, rectify or delete. For any question: https://www.enreach.com/sp/contact/contact-us-e4sp.
